Queerstories.net is a website for the pride community to write about their
experiences as a queer person, however vague or personal it is.
With being able to write about all of your stories, good and bad, it gives
people across the world to see that they aren't alone no matter what, even
if it seems like it is difficult for minorities, there's always people out
there that are there for you, and this website shows just that.
To know that you can simply go online and read other's stories on their
journey of being queer is, and should be a safe place for everyone. While
people can write however they'd like, the website was made originally to
have hundreds, and hopefully even thousands of people's experiences,
negative and positive, in a book to be published and shown of how
1. Bad things are still happening and we won't stop until everyone has
equal rights
2. It does get better, and it will continue to get better with everyone's
help. Saying that, if you'd like your story possibly included in a book
written, we'll be trying to include an option box for that soon. Remember
that you're not alone, there's always people out there even if it seems
impossible with situations no matter how difficult they are, there's
people, you have a community that's full of people all trying to get the
same thing for decades, equality.
And that we, millions of people won't stop the protests and the posts and
the writing and whatnot until we have that, and no other than that. So
when I write the 'About Us' page, I don't think of the website but of all
the people on it, of us, of the people of the future to come and the
dreamers,
Alex & Todd to everyone.
